Adam Christensen

I first started volunteering with the ALS fishing tournament when I was 15 years old by launching and loading anglers’ boats on Island Lake in Duluth. In high school, Chad Bannor and I became great friends and I remember him talking about how his dad, Randy Bannor, and Grandpa, Larry Bannor (among others), road their snowmobiles around all of Lake Superior in 1999 to raise money for ALS. I can remember how proud I felt of them for making a difference in people’s lives. From there I would attend the Blizzard Tour banquets with Chad and his family, giving my first introduction the Blackwood’s Blizzard Tour.

Growing up I fell in love with snowmobiling and when I realized I could combine snowmobiling with helping raise money for ALS it was a no brainer. I have ridden in the past 10 Blizzard Tours, and we have always talked about trying to replicate the original Circle Tour. As we embark on the 25th anniversary we decided to go “all in,” and recreate the ride. Our group of six, with two being from the original ride, will be riding snowmobiles 1,700 miles in 7 days around Lake Superior. I am an avid snowmobiler and proud to be part of something of this magnitude. Simply put, I’m riding around the Big Lake to help those that will never have the chance to ride a snowmobile again and do the simple things that I take for granted every day such as: walking, eating, talking, etc. The courage and strength of those living with ALS has inspired me to take action, and I hope it inspires you too. This ride is not just a personal challenge, but a community one. It’s a commitment to raise both awareness and funds to support ALS research and improve the lives of those affected.

Our group set an aggressive fundraising goal of $100,000. We cannot do this alone. We need your support. Please consider contributing to the 2024 ALS circle tour. Every dollar counts, and together, we can and will make a real impact. Your generosity will not only fuel this journey but also provide hope, and relief, for those affected by ALS.

Thank you for your support and standing by our side in the fight against ALS. Together, we can make a difference and offer hope to those in need. Join us on this epic journey, and together, let's ride for a cure.

Sincerely,

Adam Christensen
